The Mahāyāna-sūtrālaṃkāra (Ornament of the Mahāyāna Sūtras) is a foundational Buddhist treatise attributed to Maitreya and transmitted by Asanga. It systematically presents the core doctrinal and philosophical principles of the Mahāyāna path, making it an essential study text for Mahāyāna practitioners.

Abhidharmakosa, Chapter II: Faculties of Perception and Cognition (Spring, 2026)

This chapter explores the six faculties—the five physical senses (sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch) and the mental faculty. Vasubandhu analyzes how perception functions and how our understanding of reality is shaped by these faculties.

The Uttaratantra Shastra, Volume III (Summer, 2026)

The Uttaratantra Shastra, also known as the Ratnagotravibhaga, is a profound Buddhist treatise attributed to Maitreya and transmitted by Asanga. It is a key text in the Mahayana tradition, particularly in Tibetan Buddhism, and focuses on the doctrine of Buddha-nature (tathāgatagarbha), the innate potential for awakening present in all beings.

Beacon of Certainty (Fall, 2026)

Mipham Rinpoche’s Beacon of Certainty (Ngeshé Seljé, ངེས་བརྟག་གསལ་བྱེད་) is a seminal text in Tibetan Buddhist philosophy that clarifies Madhyamaka thought, particularly regarding emptiness (śūnyatā) and the proper method of reasoning. Written in the 19th century, it serves as a defense of Prasangika Madhyamaka while incorporating elements of Yogacara and Dzogchen perspectives.

Madhyamakavatara IV (Winter, 2026)

Chapter 6 of Madhyamakavatara (Entering the Middle Way) by Chandrakirti is devoted to the perfection of wisdom (prajñā-pāramitā) and serves as a profound philosophical exposition of emptiness (śūnyatā). This chapter is one of the most significant sections of the text, as it elaborates on the ultimate nature of reality and provides a refutation of inherent existence through Madhyamaka reasoning.

Abhisamayalamkara II (Winter, 2026)

The Abhisamayālaṃkāra (Ornament of Clear Realization) is a central Buddhist text traditionally attributed to Maitreya and transmitted by Asanga, forming the foundation of the Mahayana tradition’s study of Prajñāpāramitā (Perfection of Wisdom). It serves as an elaborate commentary on the deeper meanings found in Prajñāpāramitā sūtras and outlines the path to awakening in great detail.

Luminous Essence (~2027)

Luminous Essence is a key commentary on the Guhyagarbha Tantra, the central tantra of the Maha Yoga class in the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. The Guhyagarbha Tantra (The Tantra of the Secret Essence) presents the view, meditation, and conduct of Vajrayana, particularly the generation and completion stages of deity practice.
